Chinese Sizzler Platter

Chinese Sizzler Platter – The sizzling Chinese Sizzler is one of the most loving dish in India. Chinese Sizzler is Consisting of Chilly Garlic Hakka Noodles, Peanut Fried Rice, Exotic Vegetables In Hot Garlic Sauce, Sesame Seeds Coated Crispy Tofu, Lotus Stem Dry Manchurian.

1. Chilly Garlic Hakka Noodles

Ingredients :-

  • 1/2 cup noodles
  • Enough water to boil the noodles
  • Little salt
  • 1 tsp oil
  • 1 tbsp finely chopped garlic
  • 4 tbsp finely chopped onion
  • 1 tsp red chilly paste
  • 1 tbsp oil
  • 2 tbsp chopped spring onion greens
  • Salt to taste

Method :-

  • Boil water with little salt and oil , put the noodles in the boiling water and cover for a minute .
  • During this time switch off the gas .
  • After a minute , strain the noodles and refresh with cold water and keep it aside .

For making noodles –

  • Heat oil in a pan and put garlic , saute for a while , then add onion , cook for 2 minutes .
  • Then add red chilly paste , salt and spring onion , mix well , then add boiled noodles , again mix nicely .
  • Stir for 2-3 minutes on high flame , it is ready to serve .

2. Peanuts Fried Rice

Ingredients :-

  • 1/2 cup cooked rice
  • 1 tbsp oil
  • 4 tbsp.finely chopped cabbage
  • 2 tbsp finely chopped capsicum
  • 4 tbsp finely chopped onion
  • 1 1 tsp finely chopped garlic
  • 1 tsp finely chopped ginger
  • 1 tsp finely chopped greenchillies
  • 2 tbsp masala peanuts
  • 1 tbsp mixed sauce , which has soy sauce , tomato chilly sauce and vinegar
  • Salt to taste

Method :-

Heat oil in a pan and put garlic , ginger and greenchillies , saute for a while , then add chopped onion . Cook for a minute , then add cabbage and capsicum , mix well and cook for a minute , stirring continuously . Then add salt , mixed sauce and peanuts , mix nicely , then finally add rice and mix well . Stir for 2 minutes on high , the rice is ready to serve .

3. Exotic Vegetables In Hot Garlic Sauce

Ingredients –

  • 2 tbsp diced zucchini
  • 1/2 cup diced tri colour bell peppers
  • 2 tbsp chopped carrot
  • 2 tbsp chopped babycorn
  • 2 tbsp chopped beans
  • 2 tbsp tomato puree
  • 1 tbsp tomato chilly sauce
  • 1/4 tsp soy sauce
  • 1/2 tsp vinegar
  • Salt to taste
  • 2 tbsp cornflour slurry
  • 1/4 tsp red chilly paste
  • 1 tbsp finely chopped garlic
  • 1 tbsp finely chopped ginger
  • 4 tbsp finely chopped onion
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • Water as required

Method –

  • Boil carrot , beans and babycorn in a big vessel.with enough water .
  • When done strain the vegetables and keep them aside .
  • Heat oil in a pan and put chopped ginger and garlic , saute for a minute , then add onion, cook for 2 minutes .
  • Now add bell peppers and zucchini , then boiled vegetables , mix nicely .
  • Then add red chilly paste , salt , tomato puree , tomato sauce , soy sauce , vinegar , mix well .
  • Then add water as required and let it boil . After boiling for 5 minutes , add cornflour slurry , cook , stirring continuously , so that no lumps are formed .
  • Now switch off the gas , it is ready .

4. Lotus Stem Dry Manchurian

Ingredients –

For manchurian balls , made in appe pan

  • Half a piece of lotus stem
  • Half grated carrot
  • 1 tsp chopped greenchillies
  • 2 tbsp finely chopped beans
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil for greasing the balls
  • 2 tbsp cornflour

For the gravy

  • 1 tbsp oil
  • 1 tsp finely chopped garlic
  • 2 tbsp finely chopped onion
  • 1 tbsp tomato chilly sauce
  • Few drops of soy sauce
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1 tbsp cornflour slurry
    Little water as required

Method –

For manchurian balls

  • Boil the lotus stem after washing it properly . Then peel it and grate .
  • In a mixing bowl put together carrot , lotus stem , beans , greenchillies , salt and cornflour , mix nicely , and make equal size balls .
  • In the meantime heat appe pan on low heat , then place the balls in the appe pan moulds .
  • Grease the balls with little oil , cook them.by turning at regular intervals .
  • When becomes little brown and completely cooked , then switch off the gas .

For the gravy

  • Heat oil in a pan and put garlic , saute , then add onion , cook for a minute .
  • Then add tomato sauce , soy sauce , salt and little water , mix nicely , then add the balls and cornflour slurry .
  • Cook for 2 minutes , stirring continuously . It is ready .

5. Sesame Seeds Coated Crispy Tofu Sticks

Ingredients –

  • 6 pieces of tofu , cut in one inch long
  • Sesame seeds as required
  • 2 tbsp maida
  • 2 tbsp cornflour
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 tbsp tomato chilly sauce
  • 1/4 tsp soy sauce
  • Few drops of vinegar
  • Oil for deep frying

Method –

  • First marinate the tofu pieces in some salt for 5 minutes .
  • Then heat oil for deep frying . In a mixing bowl make a mixture of maida , cornflour , salt , tomato sauce , soy sauce , vinegar . Mix well , in a bowl put sesame seeds .
  • Now make the oil gas medium .
  • Then dip a piece of tofu in the mixture and then roll it in sesame seeds , then slide slow in the hot oil .
  • Fry until becomes brown and crispy .
  • In this way make all the pieces of tofu .

FOR ASSEMBLING Chinese Sizzler

  • Take some cabbage leaves and soak in cold water .
  • Heat a tawa on high , then make it medium .
  • In place of sizzler plate in have used tawa .
  • Now arrange the cabbage leaves all over the tawa .
  • Take a capsicum bowl . Now arrange one by one all the dishes .
  • Serve rice in a cabbage leaf , noodles in a cabbage leaf .
  • Vegetables in hot garlic sauce in a capsicum bowl .
  • Pierce a toothpick in each tofu stick and arrange them on the side .
  • At one side place the manchurian balls .
  • Now make a sizzling sound by putting some water and butter mixture , under the leaves
  • Serve hot . Enjoy .
